Israel: Palestinians stalling proximity peace talks kickoff

Senior officials in Jerusalem Tuesday said they were unhappy that the Palestinians had not yet notified their consent to start nearness talks, according to Haaretz.

According to a senior official in Jerusalem, the Palestinians delay and postpone the announcement was no real cause.

A source in the U.S. management says that at this point it seems that the Palestinian message is displayed only on Saturday after the meeting of the PLO Executive group.
A senior official in Jerusalem said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his team had made all preparations necessary to jumpstart the peace procedure and is ready to open the proximity talks at a meeting listed for today with special U.S. Middle East envoy George Mitchell.
