Iran hopes nuclear fuel swap in near future: FM

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Tuesday that Iran wants a nuclear fuel swap will be implemented in the near future.

Speech at a joint press meeting with his Brazilian colleague Celso Amorim, said Mottaki Tehran and Brasilia "accept that fuel movement may be due to the confidence of all parties concerned."

"We hope that fuel the swap will be implemented in the near future," said Mottaki.

The International Atomic Energy Agency suggested last fall that Iran takes its uranium to 3.5 percent purity to other countries where it can turn into high-enriched uranium to 20 percent. The processed high enrichment of uranium will be then used as fuel in nuclear reactors and medical purposes.
