Family friend Michele Seidman says Hingle dead in their home in Carolina Beach, just after 10 pm on Saturday. Seidman says he decided to settle in the coastal city after the shooting on the film "Maximum Overdrive" in the region in 1986. He lived there for more than 15 years. His last film was allegedly "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby", which was released in 2006.
