Happy Festivus 2010

Festivus is a holiday which is celebrated on 23rd December annually. Festivus was produced by Dan O'Keefe and introduced by Daniel on the popular television comedy show Seinfeld. The slogan of Festivus is “Festivus, a holiday for the rest of us”. Main elements of Festivus are The Festivus Pole, The Airing of Grievances, Festivus dinner and The Feats of Strength.

To enjoy the holiday season without taking part in its pressures and commercialism, Festivus is "another way". Now a days the term "Festivus" is started to be used as a common term for any kind of December party not associated with the season's other events. “The Festivus Miracle” is another growing element celebration which is not used by all celebrants. In the original episode, the fact of the Festivus Miracle is stated two times.

“The Festivus Pole” is the display of a simple aluminium pole in disagreement to the commercialization of extremely decorated Christmas trees. In the “Airing of Grievances” all contestants tell friends and family of every case where they let down him or her over the past year while starting the dinner. Before the Feats of Strength in “Festivus dinner” a celebratory dinner, "The Strike” is exposed in the evening of the festival. After the dinner the "Feats of Strength" are executed where the head of the household check his or her power against one contestant of the head's preferring and the celebration is not over till the head of the family has been attached to the ground.
