GM Compiling Dealership Closing complete List

General Motors (GM) announced on Monday that they were decided to cut 50% dealerships by U.S. network. The latest move is to tell more than 1,000 car dealerships to close their doors. GM was planning to cut more than 2,500 dealerships by 2010.

The U.S. automakers commanded about 90 percent of the U.S. market. The company expects to lose 500 Hummer and Saturn dealers when those brands close or are sold, and it expects 400 dealers to close voluntarily.

GM will be down to the four brands of GMC, Chevrolet, Buick and Cadillac. GM will target those dealers who aren’t making much money and the ones that are losing money.  According to the reports GM dealerships could result in more than 100,000 people losing their job and more than $1.5 billion in sales being lost.

The CEO of GM, Fritz Henderson said, “GM is planning to consolidate 2,400 dealerships nationwide and GM dealers will find out their fate this week. We will try to work with them to affect an orderly wind down of their inventory.”

The unions have ruined this country!! If I owned a business and a union was voted in I would close the place the same day! UNIONS ARE WRONG! Weekends you say? BIG DEAL, it is part of working in a factory! it's not an every weekend thing, so YOU ARE THE IDIOT!! Goverment and union cars

If you buy a goverment or union car from GM you should have your head examined. You have to be an idiot. The goverment can't run a penny candy stand, and you want them to run the car industry.
