Erik Gates is a regular on the Discovery Channel TV show ‘Mythbusters’ Erik Gates had a fatal tragic accident. Erik Gates was walking on the roof of the Xirrus Inc Building at 2101 Corporate Center Drive in Newburry Park with his friend when the tragic accident happened. It was a 30-foot fall, in which Erik Gates suffered chest injuries and later died due to them. He was 47 years old.
