Ekta Choudhary is Femina Miss India Universe 2009

Ekta Choudhary, a 22 years old from New Delhi has won the Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe 2009 pageant contest on Sunday evening (5 April 2009). She was crowned at the grand ceremony held in Mumbai. Ekta choudhary is having 5.95 height and 55.5kg weight with vital stats 32-24-36. She will represent the country at the global beauty pageant later this year.

Pooja Chopra was crowned Miss India World and Shriya Kishore is Miss India Earth 2009. The ceremony also featured performances by Bollywood stars Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Genelia D'souza, choreographed by Shiamak Davar.

Three Miss Indias were chosen from 20 finalists from across the country. They faced with a common question in the Q & A round, "What was the one thing you ask God if you met him, and why?". Ekta Choudhary said she ask God why do people, if they are all created equal, fight in God’s name.
