Brookfield - No matter where you hold it, an Easter egg hunt remains for many a cherished rite of spring, a reminder of simpler, joyful times. Some people like their hunts the old-fashioned way, stashing painted eggs in the backyard or sending the kids on a journey through the den. And others like their hunts on a grand scale. On Saturday, kids and their parents congregated on a field at Mitchell Park for a community hunt that began precisely at 10 a.m. It took weeks of organization to pull off the hunt, with volunteers filling plastic eggs with candy. And it was over within 15 minutes. |
