E. Lynn Harris death: Essence has reported that the best selling author E. Lynn Harris has died. Harris was touring the West Coast to promote Basketball Jones,his 11th novel, when he died. E. Lynn Harris was 54 only. Harris was made famous by his novels Invisible Life, Just As I Am, Too Good To Be True, Abide With Me. He also published his highly acclaimed memoir What Becomes of The Brokenhearted in 2004. His novels were always themed around African-American gay culture and sports. His last book, Basketball Jones is all about an NBA star and his gay lover. |
