Don Imus has Stage II Prostate Cancer

Don Imus announced on this radio program Monday that he has Stage II prostate cancer. Popular and controversial radio host Don Imus announced yesterday on his ABC Radio Networks show Imus in the morning that he has Stage II Prostate Cancer. The 68-year-old host of a morning talk show for almost 30 years before he was fired from CBS Corp.

Don Imus entertainer return to radio after being fired by CBS in April 2007 for remarks he made on air about Rudgers Women's Basketball players, called them "nappy-headed Hoes. What Stage 2 normally mean that it has not spread outside the prostate even, such as cancer, do not have "metastasized" to other parts of the body.

Stage 1 Prostate Cancer is obviously easier to handle, but the forecast of Satge 2 prostate cancer is still good. Stage 2 prostate cancer is the first time that it is likely to be diagnosed, even with the prostate exam. The forecast can be good: th majority of men with Stage 2 prostate cancer live more than five years after diagnosis.

More than 186,000 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed this year in the United States - 10,500 in New York alone, experts. In the last six years, more than 120,000 New Yorkers have received free prostate exams courtesy of The Daily News and top medical professionals.
