Disneys Princess Protection Program & Official Trailer

Disney’s Princess Protection Program Weekend started yesterday on the Disney Channel which hosted by Selena Gomez and Demi Lavato. Disney Channel will be airing the Disney Channel Original Movie “Princess Protection Program.” It took home the ratings crown Friday night.

Princess Protection Program stars Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, who are real life best friends. The two met on Barney & Friends, where Selena played "Gianna" and Demi played "Angela." The two were on Barney for two seasons, and later, they both went to work for Disney. You can see Selena and Demi back in their Barney days on the DVD entitled The Best of Barney, which was released in 2008.

Neither Demi nor Selena are new to Disney Channel stardom. Selena plays the lead role of "Alex Russo" on the popular show Wizards of Waverly Place, and Demi starred in the hit Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock. Additionally, Demi stars in her own series called Sonny with a Chance, which premiered in February of 2009.
