A team of British and American scientists has discovered a new "Thunder Thighs" dinosaur in Utah, America. A newly discovered dinosaur species is named as Brontomerus mcintoshi or "thunder thighs" due to its massive thigh muscles. The finding of fossil remains in an excavation near the Colorado River in Grand County, Utah, has been inspected by scientists. As per a new study of the discovery, fossil of an athletic sauropod offer an infrequent bounty of hints into how four-legged herbivores flourished. In the sauropod family, the beast would likely have had the largest leg muscles of any dinosaur as indicated by the shape of the bone so it is named Brontomerus mcintoshi, which factually means "thunder-thighs." Discovery of "Thunder Thighs" Dinosaur has been published in the British journal Acta Palaeontologica Polonica. Dr. Mike Taylor who is a researcher from University College London said, "Brontomerus mcintoshi is a charismatic dinosaur and an exciting discovery for us. When we recognized the weird shape of the hip, we wondered what its significance might be, but we concluded that kicking was the most likely. The kick would probably have been used when two males fought over a female, but given that the mechanics were all in place it would be bizarre if it wasn't also used in predator defense."
