A freak accident claimed his life on August 17 (Age 47 year only).Freeman hit his head in a fall at his Venice, Calif., home, his father, Roy Freeman, told the Los Angeles Times on Monday. Freeman and Neil Teplica urged readers to attend the Academy Awards; run with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain; take a voodoo pilgrimage in Haiti. The LA Times reports that Freeman visited about half the places on his list before he died, and either he or Teplica had been to nearly all of them."He didn't have enough days, but he lived them like he should have," Teplica said. A Californian, Freeman moved to New York to work for Grey Advertising in 1986. Then on Sept. 11, 2001, he watched the second plane hit the World Trade Center from his apartment just blocks away. This inspired his move back home to Southern California to be closer to his family.According to his father, Freeman was famous for saying, "'We're going to the future. Do you want to come along?' It always made everybody laugh." |
