Really unbelievable case is of 20 years old Chase Kear from Colwich who suffered from a traumatic brain injury and had an inexplicably full recovery after a pole vaulting accident during a practice at Hutchinson Community College. Doctors didn't think that he would survive but after his surgery in which his right side of skull was removed to relieve pressure on his brain has been replaced with a ceramic piece, he amazingly survives.

Chase's mother said that "Chase survived in part because hundreds of people prayed to Father Emil Kapaun to intercede on his behalf. It was absolutely a miracle."

Chase Kear’s family credited his recovery to the amazing involvement of the late Catholic priest and army chaplain Father Emil Kapaun. They strongly believe to Kapaun a saint and they also have sent a representative from Rome to investigate. Now it’s being amplified by the local Catholic Diocese of Wichita grabbing upon his survival as a reason to expedite the canonization of one Father Emil Kapaun who was U.S. Army chaplain from Pilsen, Kansas and died in the Korean War.

The preliminary investigation begun by the Catholic Diocese of Wichita, a Vatican investigator named Andrea Ambrosi will arrive from Italy in Wichita on Friday. Rev. John Hotze who is the judicial vicar for the Wichita diocese said that Ambrosi is coming here to thoroughly "and skeptically" investigate whether Chase's story is a miracle.
