World-renowned tuner and hot rod king Boyd Coddington died at 6:20 am Wednesday morning. Boyd Coddington died at the age of 63. Coddington had recently been hospitalized for an undisclosed medical condition.

Coddington was the star of TLC's American Hot Rod and universally regarded as one of the world's leading hot Rod builders. The automotive sector is the world a better place because of Boyd Coddington, and he will be sadly missed.

Boyd Coddington Cause of Death

Boyd Coddington's La Habra office spokeswoman Amanda Curry would not disclose the cause of death. Coddington, founder of Boyds Wheels and designer of the award-winning custom cars, had recently been hospitalized twice for an undisclosed medical condition.
