An Anual award show, The BET Hip Hop Awards was hosted yesterday night October 23, 2008 at 8 p.m. on BET. As the previous two show, this time comedian Katt Williams is not there at hosting time.
This year's BET AWARDS hip hop in competition at a new level of registered results that were killed in hip hop, including hard gza, Wu-Tang Clan, Raekwon, Masta Killa, U-God, Inspectah Deck, and RZA. Adding to the hype, rapper Jada Kiss will pump up the audience as a celebrity ads, while the famous DJ Drama spins all night. Special thanks should also be paid to the female pioneers in hip hop, which paved the way for women in predominantly male industry.
Performance is the most unforgettable moment for the ladies was a mixture of hip hop, as the reigning queen of the microphone - MC Lyte, Yo-Yo is the Lady of Rage, Salt-N-Pepa and spinning Ella.
Lil 'Wayne maintains a list of Hip Hop All-stars With record-breaking 12 nominations, asI would bet that hip hop is returning to Atlanta awards.
Lil Wayne placed racked up six nominations, including best CD and MVP of the year and led all nominees for the 2008 BET Hip-Hop prices. Kanye West picked 7 Nods, while his label mate Jay-Z was nominated 6 times. CO-Def Jam founder Russell Simmons has been honored with the I Am Hip-Hop Icon Award. Read more about at wiki pages.
