The ninth annual BET Awards 2009 Nominations List have been declared on May 12, 2009 at "106 & Park". Lil Wayne and T.I.'s dominance in the nominations list aside, leads the rap honorees with three nods. Hollywood’s eventual triple threat is storming the 2009 BET Awards stage.

The BET Awards would not be complete without a show-stopping surprise performance, Beyonce, Ne-Yo and Maxwell are the first confirmed performers in the awards show. The O’Jays, who will be presented with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and Kid Cudi got one gong for Best New Artist, he is up against with Keri Hilson , M.I.A, Ryan Leslie and Jazmine Sullivan.

The BET awards winners in best categories like, “Best New Artist”, Best “Hip Hop Artist”, “Best Collaboration”, “Best Athlete” etc. This year’s Awards hosted by Jamie Foxx The BET 2009 Awards will be held on June 28, 2009 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles at 8:00pm.
