A baby was born on a plane, Northwest Airlines flight 59, flying Amsterdam to Boston. Sasha will have Canadian citizenship. The pregnant mother was 8 and a half months into her gestation when she suddenly suffered labor pains on board. Two doctors aboard Northwest Airlines flight 59 sprang into action when the call came across the Boeing 757's public address system for a medical emergency. Baby Sasha was born at 9 am, while the plane was in Canadian airspace. A Ugandan woman gave birth to a baby girl. Both were warded at Massachusetts General Hospital for observation.
