Ancient sea monsters were largest predators that roam the oceans far longer than scientists thought. The creatures are known as Anomalocaridids that grew between 2 and 6 feet long with soft body. Biodiversity were raised during the “Cambrian Explosion,” which took place before 540 to 500 million years and at that time Anomalocaridids were the largest Predators. Image source: foxnews.com Anomalocaridids lived not only in Cambrian age but they were also found in the period of 488 to 472 mya (Ordovician age). The findings show that these creatures survived for 30 million years longer than the scientists believed in the past. This is the large difference between the scientist’s believed and reality so it could modify various beliefs. Scientists do all the things to aware about the ancient sea monsters even though still they don't identified the reason of extinction of these creatures. Latest fossil record has caused lots of significant adjustment in world’s history of these animals. |
