Al Sharpton Speech at Michael Jackson's memorial at Staples Center
Pop Singer, Michael Jackson’s unexpected death has given a great shock to his fans. The fans around the world had one last chance to say goodbye during a memorial at Los Angeles' Staples Center on July 7. Al Sharpton gave a powerful speech at Jackson’s memorial in which he addressed Jackson's three children Prince Michael Joseph 12, Paris Michael Katherine 11 and Prince Michael Blanket 7.
Sharpton credited Michael for bringing people of all races together during his emotional speech. He told to the congregation that Michael brought blacks, whites, Asians and Latinos together and it was he who made us sing 'we are the world,' to feed the hungry long before Live Aid. Michael made us to love each other and taught us to stand with each other.
He then told to his three children, seated in the front row surrounding their grand mother Katherine that he wants his children to know that there was nothing strange about their daddy but it was strange what their daddy had to deal with. Sharpton also told to Jackson’s fans that do not focus on the scars of Jackson’s career but to focus on his life time journey.
Jackson's eldest daughter was encouraged to give a speech after Sharpton’s speech. She touched the hearts of millions when she bid a tearful farewell to her father. Jackson’s youngest son Blanket was seen clutching a doll in the likeness of his late father during memorial.
