A Los Angeles hit by Magnitude 4.4 a small earthquake on May 1, 2009. It was felt by many Los Angeles valley residents but not others in the Southland felt it. There was no news of any death or damages as it was a minor earthquake.
The quake reported earlier on just after 6 pm. It was nominal depth at only 6 KM below the earth’s surface. And it could potentially cause more residents seemingly to feel it. Yesterdays quake, centered 6 km SW of Westlake Village was not felt widely.
