A giant saltwater crocodile has been captured by the villagers and veteran hunters in a remote Philippine village, Bunawan in Agusan del Sur on September 2, 2011. It is believed to be one of the biggest crocodile in the world to date that caught alive following an epidemic of attacks on humans and livestock. The biggest Philippine adult male crocodile measures 21-foot (6.4-metre) long and weighs around 1,075-kilogramme (2,370-pound). Crocodile farm staff members are planning to make the giant crocodile as the star of a designed eco-tourism park in a southern Philippine town. Saltwater crocodiles can grow upto 23 feet (7 meters) and can live for over 100 years. 21ft long giant crocodile was first observed by local farm villagers. Last month, it killed a water buffalo (carabao) and according to reports, it was also supposed of having attacked a fisherman who went missing in July. To put the reptile in a fenced cage, almost 100 people are required, as said by the town Mayor Edwin Cox Elorde. Once they captured the giant reptile, local farm villagers and crocodile farm staff members set four traps, which was destroyed by the crocodile.
