Frankfurt Motor Show 2009: BMW X1 (video)
About that BMW prepares to exhaust the smallest crossover under name Х1, it was known for a long time already. Still one year ago on a motor show in Paris Bavarians have shown a prototype of this model, and official pictures serial X1 have been published in July. However photos is one business. And "the live" car which very soon will go on sale, – absolutely another. Predictably, BMW X1 does not look such "kid". It is quite decent crossover which on the sizes is not much less Х3. And it proves to be true in figures. Judge for yourself – the length Х3 makes 4569 mm, and at X1 from a nose to a tail of 4454 mm. At the heart of BMW X1 the platform from the versatile person of 3rd series lies, but to be surprised to it is not necessary – in the Bavarian company initially did not wish to do from Х1 the car for driving on a dirt.
For this reason BMW X1 is decided to exhaust not only with full, but also with a rear wheel drive. And experts in marketing are assured that last version will use very much a great demand. And a road gleam here not fantastic – 194 mm, though for crossovers indicators normal.
