I must compliment you (re Denny's #2273)
I want to tell you what a pleasant experience my sister and I had at the Denny's #2273 in Gilbert, AZ on 12/9/09. We had had a poor experience recently but with encouragement from you, we went back and enjoyed two free dinners. You have hired a new Restaurant Manager, William Avery, who made our visit so enjoyable - he has upgraded the interior, the serving staff has improved, and by the time we left, we felt as if we'd known "Bill" for many years. What a difference a new manager can make. My family have all been Denny's customers for many years (since you began!) and plan to continue to do so, thanks to the welcome we received from Mr. Avery. Thank you! Marilyn Holland, 112 East Geneva Drive, Tempe, AZ 85282 (P.S. We usually eat at the Denny's in Tempe on Rural Road, but my son now lives in Gilbert).

Debit card usage
I attended the Dennys in Belleville, Ont. this past week end and was told that using the debit card was not avaulable there. Instead I could pay by credit card, cash or use an ATM machine that was now available in the store.
In my opimion this is totally unsatisfactory, unfair to the customer as 99% of businesses use debit, ATM are an additional cost to the customer, Iwatcheed as the waitresses explained to the customers and there was a general disappointment and digging to see if they had enough cash, this was an embaressment to the servers and their wages are low enough without loosing on their tips because that is where the cash and ATM will come from.
A totally inept manner of doing business, especially with the new menu's out which means increased prices.
