When the meetings were detained relating people concerned in promoting athletic competition among Wisconsin high schools, the WIAA’s history dates to late 1895 and early 1896.In the state, WIAA provides the licensing program for more than 10,000 officials and junior high or middle school athletics in approximately 100 of the state's nearly 400 school regions are overseen.
