Environmental Advocate Van Jones Quotes List

At the White House Council on Environmental Quality, Van Jones is the special advisor for Green Jobs. Jones is an attorney, environmental advocate, author and civil rights activist. In 1996 he founded the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, for alternatives to violence and incarceration a California NGO working.

For African Americans, Jones co-founded Color of Change, an advocacy group in 2005. In 2007Jones founded Green For All, formerly based in Oakland, California, to "building an inclusive green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty" dedicated by a national NGO. On October 7, 2008, The Green Collar Economy, his first book, was released, which was a New York Times bestseller.

Time magazine named Jones one of its "Environmental Heroes," in 2008. Van Jones one of the "12 Most Creative Minds of 2008" called by Fast Company.
