Reliance Digital World, the IT consumer durable arm of Reliance Retail plans to launch 60 iStores across the India, which is also called as Apple stores. A wide range of consumer durables are offered by digital stores while iStores are solely for Apple's products for professional and consumer segments. The company officials told : “50 to 60 such stores would be rolled out in 20 top cities in the next 18 months while 150digital stores would come up over the next two to three years”. After launching its second iStore in Hyderabad, this year they have launched 10th iStore and Mumbai’s 2nd iStore in R City Centre Mall, Ghatkopar. The chain of store selling Apple products in India already in Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Ludhiana, Jaipur and Mumbai. Mukesh Ambani (RRL) has declared to invest approx Rs 110-crore in the current fiscal to roll-out 31 stores across India. By this year, the company plans to take total 55 stores of both Digital and iStore. By March 2010, The Company aims to open 10 iStore and 21 Reliance Digital outlets. According to a company official, each iStore takes up to Rs 40-lakh while each Digital store requires about Rs 4-5 crore’s investment. iStore by Reliance digital offers shoppers to learn and get the experience of Apple’s innovative products and solutions welcoming environment.
