NHPC Quote & NHPC Shares Pricing

A Hydropower company NHPC’s (National Hydroelectric Power Corporation) IPO (The initial public offer) shares for up $1.25 billion and was subscribed over 20 times. Yesterday this share was listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange at a premium of over eight per cent over its original issue price.

NHPC listed at Rs 39.50 on the BSE as against the issue price of Rs 36. A premium of nearly 10% to the issue price.

This category was allowed to subscribe to a maximum of 2,625 shares each and a minimum of 175 shares. Those who applied for up to 525 shares received shares on a lottery basis.

The company Get strong response for the first IPO by a state-run firm in 18 months would embolden the government to hurry up stake sales in several companies.
