So you are considering motorhome hire in France? Well you could – I have done it in the past and my experience has been OK, but really I find it easier to just hire one in the UK, here’s why: When you hire a motorhome in France you usually pay for it in Euros and as you may have noticed you really don’t get many Euros to the Pound anymore, so it makes sense to spend your sterling in the UK and then go abroad. Your luggage. So is your plan to take your car across to France and then transfer all your stuff into your motorhome? The problem here is that you find yourself leaving your car at vulnerable spots such as motorway service stations and ferry ports with much of your stuff very visible. Not good. I find it far better to pack up at your leisure in the UK and then drive to the ferry knowing that everything you need you have on board. |
