The budget would be better-off, if it offers a clue on the way forward for accumulating non-tax revenue like one-time receipts from auction of 3G license.

A significant amount of funds are likely to be allocated for electrifying each and every corner of India. The funds would be allocated for rural electrification projects.
“Rural electrification is the top priority for us. It has come to our knowledge that private sector too wants to play its role in this process, so why not involve them officially then”, mentioned Congress MP, Manick Tagore. A smooth power supply in rural India is of top priority for Indian Government and would be a major topic in ongoing Budget.
But with the success of Indian economic development model, The Indian Budget 2010-11 is likely to be more of consolidation rather than any announcement of new programmes due to the weakening fiscal base. The Indian Economy has weathered the global financial storm quite well but has suffered on inflation and fiscal ground.
