Cash for Clunkers Program Suspended
The most popular show “Cash for Clunker” has been suspended by the U.S. Government due to the expense of $1 billion in a very short time of period.
After listening the Cars Cash Allowance rebate system, people were interested to give their old clunker for a new vehicle. In the result of that many vehicle were sold by the dealerships. That sells was record breaking.
Michigan Senator and strong supporter of the program Debbie Stabenow thought that more than 200,000 vehicles were sold under the program since its official launch.
Every one was surprised to see that customers were taking benefit of the program. The Government planned that they will be ending the program in November but it is over now.
The program’s success is amazing. 200,000 old, inefficient vehicles off their roads forever in just few days and 200,000 new, efficient vehicles in the hands of those lucky enough to get in before funds run out.
