Apple CEO Steve Jobs Announced Sick Report of year 2008
A new report, aka rumor, says Steve Jobs is sick. Apple shares fell 2% after technology website Gizmodo reported that Steve Jobs’s health was allegedly declining. A report from tech blog Gizmodo caused a serious stir yesterday claiming that Apple CEO Steve Jobs' health is "rapidly declining." The report immediately sent Apple shares down 4% to around $85.
Apple closed the trading session. Gizmodo started it all today, with quoted “solid source”. It titled the report “rumor.” Gizmodo “did not identify, as saying that Jobs’s “rapidly declining” health was the real reason behind his decision to cancel a keynote speech at next week’s MacWorld conference.
Steve Jobs’s Appearance Grabs Notice, Not Just the IPhone
Apple’s iPhone 3G got most of the headlines on Monday after the product was announced at an Apple technical conference in San Francisco. “Concern over APPLE Steve Jobs’s physical appearance” read a headline on the Drudge Report. Blogs and other Internet news sites also took note of a gaunt-looking Steve Jobs. An Apple spokeswoman said Jobs was hit with a “common bug” in recent weeks. Mr. Jobs is also widely considered nearly irreplaceable at Apple.
Report: Jobs' Health 'Rapidly Declining'

Gizmodo claims its source "has repeatedly been 100% correct before," although this has mostly been in matters related to Apple product news. Jobs' health has attracted a torrent of controversy ever since he announced having pancreatic cancer in 2004.
