Bangalore College Girls Dress code ensured by Security Guards | Food for Soul

Colleges in Bangalore, the Silicon city of India are implementing a moral policing system by giving powers to outsourced security guards that they verify whether the tank top meets his sense of morality. Engineering and MBA college students who are in focus of pursuing a global career are too falling within this rule. Interestingly tank top check and traditional dress verification are only for females and that too students.

In some cases, a journalism female student is allowed to wear jeans and kurta while an MBA student is banned to do the same.

If any lady found “inappropriate”, the security guard can send them back to home to wear proper dress. FYI most of the security guards here are uneducated and for most of them it is a part time job.

This is not a new phenomenon. In Chennai, another metropolitan city engineering college students are not allowed to carry mobile phones. If the administration finds out they fine the student. Some colleges break the mobile phone in front of everyone regardless of the cost of the phone.
