Andhra Pradesh High Court orders police out of Osmania University Campus
Hyderabad, Feb.15 — Sunday’s violence on the Osmania University campus, in which police beat up media persons along with a number of students, had strong repercussions on Monday with Andhra Pradesh High Court ordering all paramilitary police forces out of the campus with immediate effect.
The High Court, acting on a petition filed by a student of OU, also ordered police to remove fencing around the campus. It said civil police cannot check the hostels unless specifically asked for by the University administration.
