BEIJING: 21 miners were killed in a gas explosion in a coal mine in southwestern China, state news agency Xinhua Friday, according to rescuers. The mishap occurred late Thursday in a coal mine in the city of Anshun in Guizhou Province.All known workers to be in the pit was recorded after the blast, as 10 staff fled to safety, Xinhua said. The bodies of 21 other miners were found by rescuers in the mine, which was hit by an outbreak of toxic carbon monoxide, news agency Xinhua."We indoors at the mine to conduct rescue operations at midnight, and contributed to three of the survivors out of the shaft," a nickname rescue Zhao.
